We have some hard workers in 2nd grade!
Here students work in a group to observe and record the differences they noticed between pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters.
As we study butterflies, we attempt to identify some other than the monarch. This poster has been on my door since the beginning of the school year. A teacher close by thought she knew exactly how she could name our butterflies...Beth, Julia, etc. I must say we enjoyed the joke!!
Students met individually with Mrs. Krause as she observed their counting skills. We counted out 60 pennies focusing on the strategies we learned for accurate counting.
It has been so fun studying about the life cycle of a butterfly.
